Tata Power to acquire 20.95 MW wind assets from Niskalp Energy: Report
Tata Power, part of the salt-to-software conglomerate Tata Group, is buying 20.95 megawatts (MW) of wind assets from Niskalp Energy in Maharashtra, according to some news reports. The financial details about the deal were not available.
In a separate development, the company is looking to award contract for establishing 150 MW wind power facilities in Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu. These facilities will go on-stream during 2010 and 2011.
Tata Power Company had posted a net profit of Rs 947.65 crore for FY10 as compared to Rs 967.50 crore for FY09, down 2.05%. Total income for the fiscal slipped by 6.21% to Rs 7,379.85 crore from Rs 7,868.58 crore for the year ago period.
