MFs stand as net sellers in equities on April 16: SEBI
Mutual Funds (MFs) made investments worth Rs 528.50 crore and sold off Rs 821.40 crore worth of equities on April 16, 2010, according to data released by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). Thus, MFs stood as net sellers of Rs 292.90 crore in equities on that day.
In the month of April, MFs have made total investments of Rs 5907.3003 crore and sold off Rs 7742.8003 crore worth of equities, so far.
In the debt segment, MFs made investments of Rs 3916.60 crore and sold off Rs 2262.70 crore on April 16, 2010, as per the details available with SEBI. Thus MFs stood as net buyers of Rs 1653.90 crore on that day.
Further, MFs have poured in total Rs 78622.1 crore and have taken out Rs 28280.299 crore in debt market for the month of April, so far.
