GIC Housing Finance gains on higher Q1 bottom line
GIC Housing Finance gained 2.51% to Rs 122.60 at 13:20 IST on BSE, after net profit rose 14.63% to Rs 19.35 crore on 0.22% increase in total income to Rs 78.02 crore in Q1 June 2010 over Q1 June 2009.
The company declared its results during trading hours today, 27 July 2010. Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was up 88.46 points, or 0.49% at 18,108.51.
On BSE, 3.20 lakh shares were traded in the counter as against an average daily volume of 4.19 lakh shares in the past one quarter.
The stock hit a high of Rs 124.70 and a low of Rs 119.20 so far during the day. The stock had hit a lifetime high of Rs 127.80 on 23 July 2010 and a 52-week low of Rs 73 on 12 August 2009.
The small-cap stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 26 July 2010, rising 21.11% as compared to the Sensex’s return of 2.54%. It had also outperformed the market in the past one quarter, gaining 33.63% as compared to the Sensex’s 1.55% rise.
The company has an equity capital of Rs 53.85 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.
