Power Grid receives investment nod for various project

Power Grid Corporation of India, one of the largest transmission utilities in the world has received approval from board of directors for investment in various projects. The first project involves system strengthening – X in Southern Regional Grid at an estimated cost of Rs 276.61 crore. The project will be commissioned within 28 months from the date of investment approval.

The company has also received the nod for system strengthening in Northern Region for Sasan and Mundra ultra mega power projects. The cost for these projects is estimated to be at Rs 1216.83 crore and will commission within 32 months.

Finally, the company has received investment approval for Northern Region System Strengthening Scheme – XXIII at an estimated cost of Rs 109.72 crore, scheduled to be commissioned within 24 months from the date of investment approval.
